You Matter

I believe with every fiber of my being that you are phenomenally special. You are no mistake, you are not average, you are rare, you are indispensable and have the ability to be great. You are God's creation, and that makes you beautiful. You are one-of-a-kind in a world that exceeds a population of 7 billion people. You being unfulfilled leaves a vacuum no other person can fill. Therefore, it is imperative you discover your authentic self. The world needs you.

Your journey in this world may have been bumpy, but if we never experience the chill of a dark winter, we will never cherish the warmth of a bright summer. When the going gets tough, that is an opportunity to apply priceless lessons to get going. We should learn to turn every dark tear along the way into a pearl of wisdom and takeaway the positives, even in the darkest of situations.

During these moments when you are most vulnerable, people's words and actions can worsen the pain and leave you feeling useless and hopeless. Just know that someone's opinion of you does not have to become your reality. Don’t allow negative energy to take up residence in your psyche. Your self-image matters most. I learned over time that our commitment to pleasing others seriously confuses our sense of purpose in life. Mapping your life based on the expectations of others will limit your personal growth. Be yourself without compromise!  Don't live a watered-down version of life because you care too much about what others think and ignore your authentic self.

More often than not, the story we are telling the world isn't half as endearing as the one that lives within us. Don't deprive the world of your awesomeness, let the world meet the real you.

Hardship and adversity are inevitable, but they don't have to keep you from achieving your dream and the happiness you deserve. How you tackle adversities make all the difference. Every obstacle you successfully conquer serves your resolve, confidence, and ability to confront future challenges.

So, the next time you face a challenge that seems insurmountable-- whether it involves your career, partner or business-- remember you are special and have what it takes to prosper.
